Chinese authorities have discovered the coronavirus on the outer packaging of products that were delivered to the south of the country from Russia. RIA Novosti reports.
Specialists from the local center for disease control and prevention, during an inspection of imported goods, identified the virus on Russian frozen chicken legs. The Shatian city authorities immediately sealed the warehouses with contaminated goods and disinfected them. It is noted that none of those who came into contact with the products in China were infected.
Earlier, the Chinese authorities introduced quarantine in the city of Manzhouli on the border with Russia due to two cases of coronavirus detected there. In particular, mass events and gatherings were banned in the city, entertainment establishments, schools and kindergartens were closed. The railway service has been temporarily suspended. City officials have announced plans to conduct mass testing.
