Chinese astronauts went into outer space
Astronauts of the Chinese space station went into outer space to carry out extravehicular activities. This was reported by China Central Television.
Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo left the Tianhe module. The crew commander, Nie Haisheng, stayed behind to do auxiliary work.
It is noted that the Chinese astronauts have carried out extravehicular activities for the first time in the past 13 years.
The Changzheng 2F launch vehicle with the Shenzhou 12 manned spacecraft was launched on 17 June. After successfully docking with the space station under construction, the cosmonauts began work. The crew will return to Earth in September aboard the reentry capsule.
The day before, China successfully launched five satellites with the help of the Changzheng-2D launch vehicle.
