The minister noted that external factors cannot affect the strategic interaction of the two states. “In a fragile and constantly changing international environment, strong Russian-Chinese relations are even more important for maintaining regional and international peace and security,” he said.
Wang Yi also spoke about his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. According to him, during the negotiations, they came to a whole series of consensus on strengthening bilateral relations and responding to international and regional challenges.
In July, the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry's arms control department, Fu Cong, said that China's relations with Russia on strategic security issues are excellent and the countries are in constant contact. “The cooperation between the two parties is excellent.
