Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said that Beijing supports the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about the unacceptability of the West's attempts to dominate the world. TASS reports.
“China intends, together with Russia, to promote cooperation between all countries, to create new incentives for universal peaceful development,” the Chinese diplomat said. According to him, the PRC government will strengthen contacts with the Kremlin to ensure world order.
“I want to emphasize that the Sino-Russian comprehensive partnership relationship in the new era is solid as a rock. At the same time, cooperation between our countries is not aimed at defeating someone, ”Zhao Lijian assured. He added that Russia and China will take measures to maintain peace at the UN site, in accordance with international law.
“The PRC always pursues an independent policy, contributes to the maintenance of peace throughout the planet, makes an active contribution to global development, ensures the preservation of international order,” concluded an official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the West must reckon with the determination of Russia and China to jointly defend their national security interests. According to him, NATO should not interfere with the right of Russia and China to independently develop their own defensive policies.
