A group of six Chinese military courts are overseeing the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
China has deployed six warships to the Middle East over fears that the conflict between Hamas and Israel could escalate into a world war.
The Sun reports this.
The Chinese People's Liberation Army naval escort task force departed from the port of Muscat on the Gulf of Oman coast to an undisclosed location on Saturday, October 21, after participating in joint exercises with the Omani Navy.
It consists of the Type 052D guided-missile destroyer Zibo, the frigate Jingzhou and the integrated supply ship Qiandaohu.
The flotilla has been involved in escorting ships since arriving in the Gulf of Aden north of Somalia six months ago. Earlier this month, it was replaced by the 45th Task Force of the PLA Navy, which included the destroyer Urumqi, the frigate Linyi and the supply ship Dongpinghu.
Earlier, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said that the “fundamental way out” of the war between Israel and Hamas would be the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
“The top priority now is to achieve an early ceasefire to avoid the conflict widening or even spiraling out of control and causing a serious humanitarian crisis,” Chinese state broadcaster CCTV quoted Xi as saying.
Let us recall that earlier the Pentagon gave the order to send a second aircraft carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean near Israel in order to keep Iran or Hezbollah from joining the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Great Britain also sent its warships to the conflict area.
