Beijing has banned the export of many goods to the United States.
China has responded to new trade restrictions imposed by the United States against China. Beijing has banned the supply of dual-use goods to the United States that are used in the production of semiconductors and the military sphere.
This is reported by the Financial Times.
It is noted that the Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that it will not allow the supply of goods related to gallium, germanium, stibium and superhard materials to the United States. In addition, stricter control will be introduced for goods related to graphite. These materials are used to produce semiconductors, as well as for military purposes. In particular, for the production of ammunition.
Beijing's decision was Washington's response to new restrictions designed to slow the development of the Chinese semiconductor industry. It should be noted that the United States has expanded the list of Chinese technology companies subject to export controls. The companies in question are those that produce equipment used to make computer chips and software.
In particular, of the 140 companies recently included in the list, almost all are based in China, but there are also companies in Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said that the new US restrictions are “a typical act of economic coercion and non-market practices.”
Recall that German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock criticized Beijing for supporting Russia economically and militarily.
