European leaders may refuse to meet with Putin in the G20 format.

China on Wednesday, March 23, stood on protection of Moscow, calling the Russian Federation an “important member” of the G20 and refused to exclude the aggressor country from this organization.

Reuters reports.

Some countries around the world are asking to exclude Russia from the G20, but China has stated that it is against this and considers the aggressor an “important member” of the organization.

Putin is known to want to take part in the meeting G20, which should take place at the end of 2022 in Indonesia. However, due to the presence of the Russian dictator, many European states may not come to this meeting.

Recall that Ukraine expects China's participation in curbing Russia's aggressive actions. Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak said that the OPU hopes for a conversation between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
