China introduced quarantine in the city on the border with Russia

Chinese authorities have imposed quarantine in the city of Manzhouli on the border with Russia due to two cases of coronavirus identified there. This is reported by the Central Television of China, reports TASS.

In particular, mass events and gatherings were banned in the city, entertainment establishments, schools and kindergartens were closed. The railway service has been temporarily suspended. City officials have announced plans to conduct mass testing.

Manzhouli city is located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Northeast China. It is a logistics center, the city is home to the Zabaikalsk-Manchuria cargo-passenger border crossing.

For all the time, 92,030 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in China. Of these, more than 86.7 thousand people have already recovered, 4742 patients have died. Globally, the number of COVID-19 cases has exceeded 58 million.
