China has introduced a temporary ban on the entry of citizens from Russia on visas and residence permits, involving work, personal issues and family reunification. This decision was made in connection with the epidemic situation due to the spread of the coronavirus. This was reported on the website of the Beijing Embassy in Moscow.
The Chinese Consulate has warned that it will not issue “health statements” to the aforementioned individuals. “These are temporary measures that the Chinese side is forced to take to respond to the current epidemic situation,” the Chinese side explained.
It is specified that the measures will not affect citizens with diplomatic, service, courtesy visas and category C visas. For urgent entry, it will be necessary to apply for a visa. In addition, it is allowed to enter China with visas issued after November 3.
On September 23, China allowed entry to foreigners who have a residence permit in China for work, personal affairs and “for the purpose of reunification.” They will not need to apply for a visa. Those who come to China are obliged to strictly observe anti-epidemiological rules.
In March, the Chinese Foreign Ministry banned foreigners from entering the country due to the danger of the spread of the coronavirus. Only diplomats and certain categories of citizens could enter the country.
