Thus, the American magazine commented on the dispatch by Beijing towards the island of H-6K bombers equipped with YJ-12 anti-ship missiles. The publication notes that at the same time in the region was the American aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt.
According to the magazine, the bombers are necessary for striking US ships and preparing to land on the island. “And this war, if and when it starts, could start with Chinese bombers heading for Taiwan, as they did on Saturday,” the newspaper writes.
The magazine notes that the H-6K was accompanied in the air by J-16 fighters and a Y-8 patrol aircraft.
“There are more than 200 H-6 units in service with China. It is safe to assume that many of them will take part in the air war over Taiwan, which will likely also include strikes against US bases in the region, ”the newspaper writes.
