China does not need Putin's war against Ukraine – Klimkin

by alex

Former Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on Thursday, March 17, said on Factov ICTV that China does not need a war unleashed by Russian President Vladimir Putin against Ukraine.

Klimkin clarified that initially China was very cautious about this war and tried to choose words, but now he is changing his attitude.

– He looked at the food prices on which he depends, as well as the price of oil and gas, and there everyone almost has a heart attack. They clutched their heads and realized that their desire for Taiwan would also be viewed through the prism of Putin's bestial war. China does not want this and therefore began to say that it allegedly did not plan this, – said Pavel Klimkin.

The ex-minister recalled that Moscow asked Beijing for help – rations for the army, since it is likely they were going to eat Ukrainian food, but their full-scale invasion failed miserably.

– Which means that with supplies they really have “firewood”, well, we are very conducive to this . China does not need this war, it needs to improve its positions in Ukraine, and it will try cautiously, at first behind the scenes and under the table, but to bend the Putin regime so that we come to a result. It is very important for us that the Americans and the Chinese come to an agreement over Putin’s head and, in the end, put some kind of solution on his head,” says Pavel Klimkin.
