The Chinese authorities have approved the entry into the country's market of the coronavirus vaccine by the Chinese company Sinopharm. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to China Central Television.
The State Food and Drug Administration of China has decided to approve the domestic drug for use with additional conditions. It is noted that the effectiveness of the inactivated Chinese vaccine is 79.34 percent, which meets the requirements of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the country's authorities.
Back in August, the chairman of the board of directors of state corporation Sinopharm, Liu Jingzhen, predicted that the drug would appear on the Chinese market by the end of the year. He also spoke about the progress of the vaccine trials in humans.
