Chiefs of the General Staffs of Russia and the United States Gerasimov and Milli discussed international security

Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov discussed international security issues with the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley in a telephone conversation. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the Russian Defense Ministry.
A similar telephone conversation between Russian and American generals took place on November 23, 2021. Then Gerasimov and Milli also discussed a number of issues related to security.
Earlier in Moscow, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace met with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Following the talks, Wallace noted that the Russian minister and head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces once again spoke about Moscow's lack of plans to invade Ukraine. He added that NATO would still insist on the right of each country to choose its allies, despite the fears of the Russian side.
