The midfielder of the Spanish “Valencia” and the Russian national team Denis Cheryshev spoke about the advice that the striker Cristiano Ronaldo gave him during the joint performances for Real Madrid. His words are quoted by “Sport-Express”.
The athlete remembered that the Portuguese always trained and played in boots with iron spikes, and he himself – with rubber ones. “Cristiano said:“ You are a flank player and it’s important for you not to slip. I was the same at the beginning of my career, but they taught me at Manchester United, ”the Russian footballer quoted Ronaldo as saying. After that, Cheryshev began to play only in boots with iron spikes.
In 2019, Russian coach Dmitry Cheryshev, the father of Denis Cheryshev, told how his son taught Ronaldo the Russian language. The Portuguese, who was in a relationship with the Russian model Irina Sheik, asked Cheryshev Jr. how to say “I love you” in Russian, as well as other phrases.
Denis Cheryshev played for the youth team of Real Madrid. In 2012, he made his debut in the club's main squad and played two matches with Ronaldo.
