The enemy shells Chernigov for a long time: the city center has actually turned into ruins. According to the mayor Vladislav Atroshenko, the invaders have already killed more than 200 local residents. The regional center is surrounded.
According to Atroshenko, the city is in an operational environment. The enemies deliberately destroyed the bridge connecting with the Kiev direction.
There is no possibility for either evacuation or humanitarian corridors
The city does not have the opportunity to arrange humanitarian corridors or take out the wounded. The pedestrian bridge is under constant cross-fire, it is dangerous to transport goods across it, it may collapse, and people may also die,” Atroshenko said.
Now the city authorities are trying to resolve the issue of removing the seriously wounded by any means. These are 44 people who cannot be operated on in such conditions.
More than 200 local residents were killed
The mayor says: it is easier to count those houses that survived than those that were destroyed by the enemy. However, the people of Chernihiv hold on and ensure the life of their native city.
More than 200 civilians were killed. Now there are approximately 120 thousand citizens in Chernihiv. The city authorities are in place, everyone is working, supporting our army. No one is going to hand over the city, – Atroshenko assured.
There is no permanent power supply in the regional center, water has to be transported. Many processes work thanks to the efforts of volunteers who bring everything you need.
This is important! Atroshenko urged not to believe the Russians: the pilots bombing Chernihiv and other cities are well aware of what they are doing.
