Hungarian “Ferencvaros” announced the beginning of cooperation with the former coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov. This was reported on the team's Twitter.
The 58-year-old took over the team earlier than December 20. The terms of the contract have not yet been disclosed. The Russian replaced the Austrian Peter Steger in this post.
On December 18, it became known that the European club and the specialist had reached an agreement. It was noted that Cherchesov will be introduced as the new head coach of the team early next week.
Cherchesov left the Russian national team in the summer after an unsuccessful performance at the European Championship. Under the guidance of a specialist, the national team was unable to overcome the group stage. His place was taken by Valery Karpin.
