The head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov commented on the absence of striker and captain Artem Dziuba in the decisive matches of the League of Nations. His words are quoted by Sport24.
Cherchesov called the right decision not to call the player into the team and asked the journalists not to pedal this issue. “Dziuba adds a lot to us in the game, it's another matter that for one reason or another he is not there,” the coach added.
The final match in their group in the League of Nations, the Russian national team lost to Serbia with a score of 0: 5. Before that, the team lost to the Turks. Defeats did not allow Cherchesov's team to take first place in the group and break into the elite division of the tournament.
