Chelsea London have left some of the team's top players out of the squad ahead of the Champions League group stage match against Zenit. This was announced during a press conference by the mentor of the “aristocrats” Thomas Tuchel, reports the portal “Championship”.
Tuchel said that Brazilian midfielder Jorginho, French defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante and Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic will miss the meeting in St. Petersburg. Also, defenders Trevo Chalobah and Ben Chilwell will not be able to play against Zenit.
The final sixth round match will take place on December 8 at the Gazprom Arena stadium. Chelsea secured their playoffs ahead of schedule. Tuchelya's team has 12 points scored.
The second line in the quartet is unattainable for Zenith. Sergei Semak's team will continue their European Cup campaign in the Europa League.
