Jorginho
An absolute favorite! Chelsea legionnaire Jorginho was named Europe's Footballer of the Year by UEFA on Thursday.
The 29-year-old midfielder received the trophy as part of the Champions League group draw in Istanbul, prevailing against his Chelsea team-mate N'Golo Kante and Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne.
Jorginho has had the most successful season of his career so far. With Chelsea, the 29-year-old was crowned the Champions League winner and was undisputed as a clock in midfield. Jorginho won the European title with Italy in July. Just two weeks ago, the Italian with the “Blues” also won the European Supercup with a win on penalties against Villarreal.
The race was closer for the coaches. Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel prevailed against European champion Roberto Mancini and city trainer Pep Guardiola.
