German Chelsea defender Antonio Rüdiger has apologized for the likes of Russian mixed-style (MMA) fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who called French President Emmanuel Macron a beast. The Daily Mail reports.
Rüdiger, who professes Islam, liked Nurmagomedov's post with a shoe print on Macron's face. Later, the athlete removed the “like” mark – just like his partner in the German national team Mesut Ozil.
Nurmagomedov's publication caused a wide response. The attack on the French President was supported by other fighters. In particular, Zabit Magomedsharipov, performing in the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC).
Several armed attacks had taken place in France a day earlier. The attacks followed Macron's speech, in which he denounced the crisis in Islam and criticized the quality of the integration of visiting Muslims into French society.
