A 27-year-old Chechen was shot dead in the French city of Evreux. This is reported by the radio network France Bleu with reference to the local police.
The incident took place on Friday, September 25, at about 18:00 local time in one of the bars. Witnesses to the incident said that a fight broke out between representatives of the Chechen and African diasporas. One of the participants in the scuffle took out a pistol, shot at an opponent and disappeared.
The victim was taken to the hospital, but the doctors were unable to save him.
In June, riots erupted in Dijon after members of the diaspora decided to avenge the alleged brutal beating of a 16-year-old Chechen by local drug traffickers. On June 15, more than 150 natives of Chechnya gathered in the streets of Dijon for revenge, according to local media reports. Many were armed. Then it was noted that 11 people were injured in the clashes, some are in serious condition.
