The editorial staff of the satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo commented on the terrorist attack near Paris, during which a local college teacher was beheaded. This was reported on the publication's Twitter account.
“Charlie Hebdo shares the horror and resentment that a teacher who was doing his job was killed by a religious fanatic. We express our deepest support to his family, loved ones and all teachers. Intolerance has just crossed a new threshold, it seems, does not stop at anything to instill terror, ”- said in the editorial office.
Journalists note that “this vile deed should make the French more belligerent than ever in defending our freedom, and only the determination of political power and universal solidarity will defeat this fascist ideology.”
Earlier, the killer explained his act, stating that he “executed the dog of hell, who dared to humiliate the Prophet Muhammad.” The terrorist did not like that during the free speech lesson the teacher showed the cartoons from Charlie Hebdo.
On October 16, it was reported that the terrorist could be born in Moscow. According to the BFMTV television channel, the killer is of Chechen origin, he is 18 years old. The nickname Tchetchene (“Chechen”) indirectly confirms this version. He did not come to the attention of the special services and did not appear in the dossiers of radicalized individuals. There was no official confirmation of this information, but Baza found out that the killer was 18-year-old Abdulak Anzorov.
