France's national soccer player Olivier Giroud is leaving the English capital of London after nine years and continuing his career in Italy. The 34-year-old striker is moving from Champions League winners Chelsea to AC Milan, where he is said to be on a two-year contract. According to the media, the transfer fee is around one million euros. With Chelsea, Giroud had also won the Europa League and a championship title.

For Giroud, Milan is the first foreign station outside of London. In 2012 he moved from Montpellier to Arsenal, where he played for five and a half years before joining city rivals Chelsea. Last season Giroud had little time left in the Premier League with the “Blues”.
