Olympic figure skating champion Dmitry Solovyov is beaten up in Moscow. This was reported by Match TV.
According to the source, the 32-year-old Russian stood up for the two-time European curling champion Anna Sidorova, after which he was attacked. He was admitted to the neurosurgical department of the Botkin Hospital. Law enforcement officers detained the attackers on the spot.
Soloviev performed in ice dancing with Ekaterina Bobrova. Together they became 2014 Olympic champions and 2018 Olympic silver medalists in team competition.
On December 20, an unknown person attacked the master of sports in freestyle wrestling Oleg Kuryachiy in Moscow. After the beating, the wrestler needed the help of doctors: he was diagnosed with a fracture of the lower jaw and bruises. The athlete went to the police.
