Oumar Solet had to be led from the pitch with tears in his eyes. The feared cruciate ligament tear should be confirmed yesterday by means of an MRI. Before Solet came from Lyon, he had to take a break in spring 2020. Just as he was approaching his top form again – in Seville he was one of Salzburg's best – the next setback followed. This time it's the other knee, but he'll be out again for a long time.

Central defense becomes a problem area in Salzburg. Max Wöber is suffering from a flu-like infection and has thigh problems. This means that the top central defender pair is canceled for tomorrow's cup game against Kalsdorf. After that, at least Wöber can hope to return soon.
