The Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology “Vector” of Rospotrebnadzor has published photographs of viral particles of the omicron-strain of coronavirus. The pictures were shown by the RIA Novosti Telegram channel.

Biomaterials of Russians infected with the omicron strain were transferred to Vector in early December. Later, the director of the center said that experts have identified four independent whole-genome omicron strains of the coronavirus.
