Danilov said that Ukraine is ready for any development of the situation.
The Russian reconnaissance aircraft A-50, which was blown up by partisans at the Machulishchi airfield in Belarus , is now out of order. It is unlikely to be able to be repaired, since Russia is under sanctions for aggression against Ukraine.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov on the air of the telethon.
Danilov stressed that the aircraft was in disrepair and what the Russians claim they will “repair quickly” is unlikely to be true due to the sanctions against Russia.
“But given that Russia is under sanctions, we do not think that they will succeed. This caused such an inadequate reaction from Lukashenka. His behavior begins to surprise. We will see how events unfold. We are ready for any development of the situation,” – added the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
Danilov recalled that Belarusian partisans took responsibility for damaging the plane with which the invaders attacked Ukraine.
“In Machulishchi, a “thing” happened with a Russian aircraft that aimed missiles at our cities. Thanks to this aircraft, they attacked the civilian population. According to our information, Belarusian partisans severely damaged this aircraft,” he added.
Recall, the Russian reconnaissance aircraft A-50 was damaged on February 26 at the Belarusian airfield “Machulishchi”.
“Belarusian partisans” took responsibility for the attack. Lukashenka's security forces allegedly found a bag with drone control panels near the scene of the incident.
According to the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, this is good news for Ukraine. This aircraft coordinated missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. And military analyst Oleksiy Getman explained that damage to the A-50 aircraft would make it difficult for the invaders to plan missile strikes on Ukraine.
On March 7, the dictator of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the attack on Machulishchi with damage to the A-50 was supposedly planned by the SBU and the CIA, having recruited a Russian IT specialist in 2014. According to the dictator of Belarus, the “terrorist of the Ukrainian special services” was born in Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region and lived in Crimea for some time, and, according to Lukashenka, he also has relatives in Austria.
In addition, Lukashenko hysterically called Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky a “nit” and challenged him.
Adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak, answering Lukashenka, advised him to “decide on the definitions” and recalled that Belarusian partisans took responsibility for the incident.
