Now Russia is no longer mentioned in the project.
China decided to continue the development of the long-range wide-body airliner C929 without Russia's role, although at first it was positioned as a common Chinese-Russian project.
This is reported by BBC.
The publication reports that now Russia is no longer mentioned in any way on the model of the aircraft and its description at the stand of the Chinese aircraft manufacturing corporation COMAC, which was located at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK.
The company told journalists that China is working on this project without the Russians. At the same time, they did not name the reasons why Russia is no longer presenting projects.
The long-range airliner project was previously called CR929, it was supposed to compete with aircraft manufactured by Boeing and Airbus. The Russian corporation Rostec claimed that the C in its name stands for China and the R stands for Russia.
Recall that it was previously reported that the US is preparing new sanctions against China for aiding Russian aggression against Ukraine.
In addition, we previously reported that Britain called China, Russia and North Korea “mortal” threats.
