A senior dietitian from the UK's National Health Service has unveiled a way to lose weight without eating restrictions. Her words are quoted by the Daily Mail.
Tamara Wilner explained that calorie counting does not work as a long-term solution to overweight. A strict diet leads to hunger and irritation, she said. As a result, the person ceases to restrain himself and gains weight again. The specialist noted that diets negatively affect metabolism, which leads to the accumulation of unnecessary fat.
In order to get in shape without restricting your diet, you need to consume whole foods and meals that are balanced in protein and healthy fats that provide long-lasting satiety, Wilner said.
“It is also important that you allow yourself to eat what you like in moderation and, where possible, consume more wholesome foods. This will reduce the amount of refined carbohydrates, which in turn will reduce your cravings for fatty acids and lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, ”the nutritionist said.
In addition, Wilner advised to reduce stress levels, try to get enough sleep and move more often.
