The number of Trabant brand cars registered in Germany has risen by around 3,000 in the past ten years, although the manufacturer Sachsenring has not produced anything since 1991. This is reported by the newspaper “Welt” (Monday edition), citing an evaluation of the registration statistics by the Center Automotive Research (CAR) by Ferdinand Dudenhöffer. Accordingly, in January 2021 exactly 38,173 “Trabis” were registered in Germany.
