In the Kharkiv region, a 39-year-old man was sentenced to eight years in prison, who is suspected of premeditated murder of a cohabitant (part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
– A pre-trial investigation found that a man hit his cohabitant on the head during a quarrel . Realizing that she was not breathing , the man took her corpse out into the street and left it at the house along Moskovsky Prospekt. After that, the attacker fled, – the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported.
They added that the accused admitted his guilt, and also repented of what he had done.
The Ordzhonikidzevsky District Court of Kharkiv found the man guilty and sentenced him to eight years in prison, but the sentence has not yet entered into force, as the deadline for filing an appeal has not yet passed.
