The Capitals cracks during boxing training with Marcos Nader
The spusu Vienna Capitals on the wrong track! In order to grow together even more as a team, the ice hockey cracks ventured into the boxing ring.
Free the ring for the spusu Vienna Capitals! Before the start of the ice hockey season at the KAC on September 17th, the skid fighters let their fists speak at the Bounce boxing club in Vienna-Ottakring.
Step and punch technique, infight and sparring were practiced under the guidance of Marcos Nader. The professional boxer was impressed by the caps cracks: “I always enjoy giving other athletes a taster course in boxing. The guys from the spusu Vienna Caps definitely have what it takes. Gladly again!”
Hard fights are nothing unusual for Raubein Phil Lakos. “Normally I drop my gloves when fighting on the ice. That's why it was a bit strange for me here,” grins the 41-year-old. Postscript: “It was a great team-building unit. Exactly such events, where fun is not neglected, are needed to grow together as a team – we had a radical change in the summer and therefore some new players in the squad.”
Captain Mario Fischer also said: “From a distance, the unit might look relaxed. But we sweated a lot. When boxing, you have to be wide awake every second. Once you fail to concentrate, you will be punished. There are certainly parallels to ice hockey. “
There is also an event for the fans where they can grow together again after the long Corona break: The Caps Summer Festival takes place on Saturday (3 p.m.) in front of the hall in Kagran. A show game is offered, the team presentation, an autograph session and much more. Special guest: Caps icon Bob Wren.
