DPA: former British Prime Minister Theresa May is being considered for the post of NATO Secretary General

Possible candidates who are being considered for the post of NATO Secretary General have become known. Information about this was disclosed by the DPA agency, RIA Novosti reports.
The candidates for the post of Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance were former British Prime Minister Theresa May, as well as Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The list of possible candidates also includes Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas, former EU Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.
Earlier it was reported that the current NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will become the head of the Central Bank of Norway in October 2022. He has been the Secretary General of NATO since March 2014. Initially, Stoltenberg was supposed to finish the work in 2018, but his term of office was extended until September 30, 2022.
