Canadian fighters intercepted a Russian plane over the Black Sea. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Canadian Ministry of National Defense.
According to Canadian authorities, CF-18 fighters intercepted a Russian Su-27 near the Romanian border and escorted it outside the Romanian flight information area. It is noted that in early September, Canada resumed its military mission in Romania within the framework of cooperation with NATO.
Earlier, two Russian Su-27 fighters intercepted US B-52H bombers over the Black Sea. The National Defense Control Center of Russia said that the Su-27 climbed to intercept when approaching “two air targets” were detected near the country's border.
