Canadian public figure Chris Elton turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin and thanked him for upholding traditional values, the post was published on the activist's Twitter account.
According to Elton, the Canadian media is reluctant to talk about it. “I want to express my personal gratitude to Putin for speaking directly about the madness of gender ideology,” he said.
During a press conference, Putin called the lack of distinction between a woman and a man obscurantism. According to him, people have the right not to distinguish between the two sexes, but common sense must exist.
The head of state believes that the struggle for the rights of women and sexual minorities in the West is turning into dogmatism on the verge of absurdity, and in some issues it takes monstrous forms. Putin added that the fight for equality is turning into “reverse racism.”
