~6 0~p>Canada has already provided Ukraine with $2 billion in emergency financial support.
Canada< /strong> is increasing the amount of support for Ukraine amid delays in making a decision on the next aid package from the United States.
About this on the radio CBC said Canadian Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland.
“In March, Canada provided $2 billion in emergency financial support to Ukraine. This came at a time when the United States was unable to step forward and help Ukraine. We filled the gap,” Freeland said.
She believes Canadians “can be proud that our country is truly doing its part to resist Russia and support Ukraine – which is NATO's greatest battle.”
Freeland added that “vicissitudes in Congress” made it impossible for the United States to provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance. “This is exactly the problem. Canadian support for Ukraine is not a problem for Ukraine,” the minister assured.
Recall that it was previously reported that Prime Minister Denis Schmigal said that Ukraine received 1.5 billion US dollars from Canada.< /p>
In addition, we previously informed that Canada does not exclude the possibility of acquiring Ukrainian drones.
