The program provides that Ukrainian refugees and their closest relatives of any nationality can stay in Canada as temporary residents for up to three years. To do this, you need to apply online for a Canadian visitor visa and provide your biometric data (fingerprints and photo).

In order to be able to work in Canada, Ukrainians are advised to immediately apply for an open work permit for a period for 3 years at the same time as applying for a visa.

Primary and high school students can register and start attending school as soon as they arrive in Canada. In addition, anyone who wants to study at a higher educational institution can apply for a study permit after staying in Canada.

Recall that on March 17, a simplified program of temporary stay in the country for Ukrainians who are forced to to leave due to a full scale Russian invasion. Through a program called CUAET, Ukrainians will not only be able to stay in Canada for up to 3 years, but also get an official job.
