Canada Starts Pfizer Pediatric COVID Vaccine -BioNTech for vaccination of children from 5 to 11 years old.

“We are working closely with Pfizer to establish a clear timetable for the delivery of vaccines for the second dose,” the minister said.
It is noted that shipments began as soon as Canada received regulatory approval for the drug. The country is expected to receive 2.9 million doses of Pfizer's COVID vaccine by the end of this week.
Minister Philomena Tassi said this would be enough to vaccinate all Canadian children aged 5-11 with a single dose.
By the way, when the country received permission to vaccinate children, it was planned that they would be vaccinated with only a third of the amount used to vaccinate adolescents and adults. Health Canada noted that the Pfizer vaccine is 90.7% effective in preventing coronavirus disease in children.
