Canadian authorities have closed the country's skies for Russian aircraft. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Canadian Minister of Transport Omar Alhabra.
“From now on, Canadian airspace is closed to all Russian aircraft operators,” Alhabra said.
Earlier, Austrian Minister of Transport Leonore Gewessler announced a similar decision. She noted that Vienna supports the closure of airspace for Russian airliners throughout the European Union.
Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania and the Baltic States also closed their skies to Russia.
