The Austria's Leading Companies Award (ALC) from “Presse”, KSV 1870 and PwC Austria is presented to the best companies in Upper Austria for the 22nd time. This year's winners not only show the performance of the companies, but also reflect the importance of industry for Upper Austria. Most of the award winners come from this sector.
Two figures illustrate how important industry is for Upper Austria: The production of material goods in a narrow sense. If the industrial sector is expanded to include the energy industry, construction and industry-related services, the so-called servo-industrial sector represents almost two thirds of the added value in Upper Austria.
