Channel 24 reports on this with reference to NDR. Not far from Berlin, a major accident occurred at night involving a Flixbus bus traveling from Copenhagen to Vienna.
Flixbus bus carrying tourists from all over the world overturns
There were citizens of more than 20 countries on board, including Ukrainians.
The incident occurred at around 2:30 on the A19 highway near the town of Rebel, 100 kilometers from Berlin. The bus, which was carrying 54 passengers and two drivers, overturned into a ditch. According to the police, 23 people were injured, one person was hospitalized in serious condition – it took rescuers two hours to get him out of the mangled vehicle.
Flixbus reported that there were Ukrainians among the passengers, but did not name the exact number. There were also citizens of Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Japan and other countries in the cabin. Rescuers and two cranes were called in to evacuate the victims to lift the bus into a vertical position.
The carrier expressed its condolences and said it was providing a new bus to transport uninjured passengers to Berlin. According to Flixbus, the bus was brand new – from 2025 – and the driver had many years of experience behind the wheel.
