German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that in the event of a new invasion of the Russian army on Ukrainian lands, the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will also be subject to sanctions.
She made such a statement during the Munich Security Conference 2022.
– If Russia takes action against Ukraine, the sanctions will be unprecedented and coordinated between all partners. We in Germany are ready to pay a high price in the economic sense. Therefore, all options are on the table, including Nord Stream 2,” says Burbock.
In addition, she said that Germany is working hard to find ways out of the Russian crisis. She urged to uphold “justice and peace” in Europe.
