Bundestag will hold emergency hearings on Russian troops near the border of Ukraine

On Thursday, December 9, the German parliament will hold an emergency hearing on the issue of Russia's troop build-up on the Ukrainian border.

This was announced by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk.

– An emergency parliamentary hearing will be held on the topic: The position of the Federal Government regarding the accumulation of Russian troops along the state borders of Ukraine. We expect a powerful warning for the Putin regime from Berlin, the ambassador said.

Earlier, the new German Chancellor Olaf Scholz warned Russia against attacking Ukraine.

He said that Nord Stream 2 will face consequences in the event of a Russian invasion.
