Dortmund fans lose their season ticket.
Drastic measures at Borussia Dortmund! The German Bundesliga club will exclude vaccination refusers from home games in the future.
Discussions about compulsory vaccinations are becoming more and more frequent in Europe. At Dortmund you take a clear line, and it looks like this: If you want to experience a BVB home game in the stadium in the coming season, you have to be vaccinated against the corona virus or have recovered. A negative test is not enough for a visit to the stands.
“The vaccination is our only key to a return to normal,” said Dortmund boss Hans-Joachim Watzke. In addition, the presence of vaccinated or recovered people would give “an even greater sense of security when visiting the stadium”.
Children and young people are expressly excluded from this rule, but must be tested before the games. A similar regulation already exists at 1. FC Köln. Dortmund's first home game will take place on Saturday (6.30 p.m.) against Eintracht Frankfurt. 25,000 spectators are admitted to the game, 1,000 tickets go to children and young people.
