The coach question at the WAC has been clarified. Ex-Bundesliga coach Robin Dutt joins the Carinthians. The Wolfsberger confirmed this on the club's website.
Robin Dutt.
In his past, Dutt coached German clubs such as Werder Bremen, SC Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen. The 56-year-old was most recently employed by VFL Bochum. In addition, Dutt also acted as a sports director, including at VFB Stuttgart.
WAC: “Dutt was the favorite from the start”
Born in Cologne, he will start at the WAC at the beginning of the 2021/2022 season. “Robin Dutt was the favorite for the coaching position right from the start. We have had many good and productive discussions in the past that were based on a high level of mutual respect. With his great experience and professionalism, he will help us to achieve our goals,” explained President Dietmar Riegler.
“Dietmar Riegler and Christian Puff (President and Vice-President's note) convinced me both personally and athletically of this task and I am looking forward to this task,” emphasized Dutt.
The former Austra trainer Thorsten Fink was also previously on the Wolfsberger wish list. How it will continue with interim trainer Roman Stary is still unclear. “As a sports coordinator in any case, as a coach it is still not an issue,” said Stary in advance to Sky about his future plans.
