As a result of the attack of Russian troops on Zmeiny Island, some buildings were damaged there. This is clearly visible in the satellite image of the Ukrainian island.
The image, taken Sunday by Maxar Technologies , is the first clear view of the island since it was bombed by Russian invaders.
The image shows that some of the red-roofed buildings in the center of the island were damaged by Russian shelling of the island. Also in the photo you can see a Russian ship off the coast of the island.
The ship moored off the island was identified by Maxar as a Ropucha -class amphibious assault ship. Although part of the island is covered in snow, the image shows traces of impact craters.
Snake Island is located in a part of the Black Sea, about 48 km from the coast of Ukraine.
Recall that on the afternoon of February 24, two warships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Moscow and Vasily Bykov began to fire on Zmeiny Island. On the evening of February 24, Russian regular troops captured Snake Island.
