Buckingham Palace Investigates Staff Complaints About Meghan Markle's Behavior
The British royal court will investigate possible cases of mockery of the Duchess of Sussex, wife of Prince Harry Meghan Markle, towards her subordinates, according to a statement from the palace.
The reason for the investigation was the publication in the newspaper The Times . The publication posted the memoirs of the staff of the secretariat Markle. They admitted that Megan was so arrogant about her subordinates that some of them left their positions. So, two personal assistants of the Duchess of Sussex quit.
However, Markle's representatives denied the allegations. They also added that the publication in the newspaper came out deliberately shortly before the interview of the couple with American TV presenter Oprah Winfrey. With the help of the material in The Times, they tried to turn the British audience against the Dukes of Sussex, Markle's representatives stressed.
Buckingham Palace expressed concern about the facts stated, as it “will not tolerate intimidation and harassment in the workplace.” During the investigation, it is planned to invite secretariat staff, including those who no longer work at court.
Recall that Prince Harry and his wife abandoned the status of senior members of the royal family and wanted to gain financial independence. The changes officially took effect on March 31, 2020. Now the couple are expecting the birth of their second child – he will become the eighth in the list of candidates for the throne of Great Britain.
