British woman pretended to be pregnant for nine months to keep a man
In the UK, a woman pretended to be pregnant for nine months in order to maintain a relationship with a young man, according to The Daily Mirror.
Jacqueline McGowan wore a false belly, sent fake ultrasound scans and even came up with a name for the unborn child.
However, after a while, those close to Jacqueline began to notice strange behavior behind her. At first, she forbade the child's father to visit the doctor with her, and then stated that she would not allow him to participate in raising his son. Ultimately, the British woman told her lover's brother that this was his child.
Speaking in court, the woman pleaded guilty. So far, no verdict has been passed on her.
