British scientists suggest replacing running with a hot bath

British scientists have named an activity that will bring health benefits no less than running. They suggest replacing physical activity with a hot bath, writes The Sun.

Scientists from Coventry University said hot baths, hot tubs and saunas could replace running, walking and cycling. They explained this by the effect of warm water on the body: it raises the body temperature and increases the heart rate. This trains the heart, as does aerobic exercise.

Experts note that regular bathing in heated water strengthens blood vessels. British scientists advise the elderly and people with chronic diseases who cannot play sports to resort to these procedures.

Charles James Steward, Ph.D., believes that in the future, doctors will prescribe hot baths to people to prevent cardiovascular disease.

We will remind, in February of this year, American scientists explained how sports strengthens bones and immunity. And earlier this month, British experts said pink-colored drinks would improve athletic performance.
