Discontent is growing among Russians.
In Russia, on November 7, the spouses of Russian soldiers held what was likely the first public street protest in Moscow since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This is stated in a new British intelligence report as of November 20.
It is noted that protesters gathered on the central Theater Square and unfurled banners demanding that their men be taken away from the front line.
“Since February 2022, daily examples of Russian wives and mothers appear on social networks who go online to protest against the conditions of service of their loved ones,” the message says.
The police dispersed the protest on Teatralnaya Square in a matter of minutes.
“Obviously, the unlimited duration of combat deployment of personnel without rotation is increasingly perceived as unviable by both the troops themselves and their relatives,” the statement said.
Earlier, British intelligence said that the aggressor country of the Russian Federation would likely return to service the high-altitude Soviet-era reconnaissance aircraft M-55 (Mystic B according to NATO classification).
